Nailpro Fantasy Art True Imagination

Bronner Bros welcomes Nailpro to the International Beauty Show in Atlanta, Georgia. As the countries leading Nail Mogul of the industry,  Nailpro is prepared to take this competition to another level. We invite all talented Professional nail technicians to register to their creativity in our new Nailpro: Nail Art Fantasy Competition. This competition challenges technicians to use both their technical training and artistic freedom to create never before seen nail designs while staying within strict time confines. Nail technicians will be judged on their artistic ability and knowledge of products, designs, shape and color combinations.

And on the SAME STAGE will be the Nailpro Salon Success Competition. All professional Nail technicians are invited to register for this one handed timed competition. Take your skills to another level by showcasing your skills on the Bronner Bros. Main Stage.

If you competed in a nail competition and won first place, then you must enter in the “Veteran Division” nail competition. All other competitors must enter in the “Novice Division” nail competition. After you register, please review the nail competition rules and judging criteria.

RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. You MUST bring two forms of ID to registration that day to show proof of your age and a photograph (for example, a birth certificate and driver’s license or a birth certificate and a passport or a birth certificate and a school ID card with your name on it). 

  2. Bring all the required material to the check in desk.

  3. Proof that the model is at least 18 years of age. If the age of the model is questioned and proper ID is not available, the model cannot be used

  4. Your License or proof online of your active status.

  5. The QR codes sent to you via email or Text with your proof of purchases for:

    1. Admissions (1 day pass, 3 day/2 night pass, or VIP pass)

    2. Competition Fee payment of $75

  6. Each competitor must purchase their entry onto the exhibit floor separately from the competition fee. However, your model will receive complimentary day pass for the exhibit floor to participate in the  competition.

  1. Competitors may enter one model per fee. Upon checking in, the entry hand to be designed must be free from products, natural nails only.

  2. Children under 12 are NOT allowed on the Exhibit floor, backstage or in the area for this competition. Click here for our DAYCAREoptions.

  3. ALL COMPETITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL BELONGINGS!! Bronner Brothers is not responsible for theft or lost items left on the stage after the competition. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please see the specified site for Lost and Found in the Georgia World Congress Center.

  4. All models are welcomed to participate. All races, nationalities, creeds, and colors will ignite the multicultural look of the industry. Competitors must find and provide their own model.

  5. No additional persons are allowed in the prep room. Only Model and Competitor will be allowed in the Prep room during the briefing and pre-judging time. There will be an area around Main Stage for viewing during the competition.

  6. Current Bronner Brothers employees, platform artists, and educators cannot compete in this competition. A minimum of 2 year of non-association with the company is required to qualify.

  7. There may be heavy traffic or major detours near the Georgia World Congress Center. Please use your time wisely and plan your route to the facility ahead of time.

  8. All Participants (contestants and models) must sign a model release form. Failure to complete this form before arriving downtown may significantly delay your check-in process as you WILL NOT be allowed entry into the competition headquarters until these forms are received electronically.

  9. AFTER WINNING THE COMPETITION, the contestant agrees to abide by the final decision of the judges.

  10. All winners my report to the Competition Headquarters to complete all paperwork to receive payment of awards and prizes. If this paperwork is incomplete, you may significantly delay or in some cases forfeit your payment in full if you place or win the competition.

  11. Bronner Brothers and the Sponsors reserve the right to cancel the competition of a minimum number of competitors is not met. This competition requires 15 registered competitors for the competition to take place.

Nailpro Fantasy Nail Art Rules 

Theme True Imagination

  1. Models must be dressed in an appropriate attire to reflect the mood of the Nail creation. Please REPORT DRESSED. No dressing room will be provided.

  2. Competitors are permitted to bring and use all equipment and product required to create their finished look during the competition. A table section and Electricity will be provided.

  3. All nail work must be done and completed by the registered competitor this includes hair and makeup.

  4. All nail art must be made from professional nail products including (colored liquid-and-powder acrylic, light-cured gel, wraps and resin, polish, rhinestones, etc.).

  5. Embellishments may be used but must NOT exceed 25% of the overall design.

  6. Nails must be incorporated into the design. The nail art MUST BE attached to the nails and NOT sitting ONLY on a platform.

  7. The Nail Art MUST BE attached to the nails ONLY NOT on a platform. They may NOT serve only as base. There will be a 10-point deduction if nails are not incorporated into design. Each individual nail must be attached to each individual nail bed of the model’s hand. All fingers must move freely.  This must be clear to the judges.  It must not be separate from the model’s nail or attached only to the fingers or hand in some way as to “appear” as though it is attached.  Each piece of nail art can be interlaced with the other nail art but must be distinctly and separately attached nail. Size of art pieces will not be a consideration in judging.

  8. Competitors must prepare and submit a written statement in two parts. One detailing the products and processes used to create the art, and one telling the story of your interpretation of the theme. Failure to provide this information will result in a 5-point deduction in overall score. Do NOT name specific brands or manufacturers, and DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME.

  9. Fantasy Nail Art will be judged in the following categories: originality, color, costume, design, visual interest, balance, overall impression, presentation, complexity, workmanship, details and theme.

  10. Models must be dressed in an appropriate attire to reflect the mood of the Nail creation. Please REPORT DRESSED. No dressing room will be provided.

  11. All designs MUST be completed prior to checking in for the competition.

  12. No grotesque – No horror – No Monsters! (Nail Art Competition only)

  13. Entrants and models must remain until the judges’ decisions are completed.

  14. There is a limit of 20 competitors for each competition.

  15. ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

  16. Bring all the required material on site with you.

Fantasy Nail Art Judging Criteria

Originality – 5 Points

  • the design is innovative (new and original)

  • the design is unique (different from other designs we have seen in the past and from other entries)

  • the design is within the guidelines of the copyright rules

Color – 10 Points

  • the colors enhance the design

  • the colors complement each other

Costume – 10 Points

  • the costume complements the theme and artwork

  • the costume is complete and needs no improvement

  • the costume is neat, clean and well-constructed

  • the costume is well-constructed according to competitors’ interpretation of theme. Example if the entry is supposed to be messy, sloppy or bloody it should be done well.

  • the costume is well thought out with extra details added if store bought.

  • the costume is complete with make-up, body paint or other accessories

Design – 10 Points

  • the design enhances the theme

  • the design is completely thought out

  • the design is within a fantasy realm. Something extraordinary, not simple but fantastical

  • the nail art MUST BE attached to the actual nails and not sitting ONLY on a platform

Visual Interest – 10 Points

  • the design captures your attention

  • the design holds your attention

  • the design continues to draw your attention to new details

Balance – 5 Points

  • various elements of the design are well-balanced, neither too sparse nor too busy

  • the sum of the design is in harmony with the parts of the whole design

Overall Impression – 10 Points

  • the design makes an excellent overall impression

  • the design is complete and needs no improvement

  • all competition rules were followed

Presentation – 5 Points

  • the entry is presented within the Fantasy Nail Art Guidelines

  • the entry makes an excellent presentation

  • care was taken to present this entry

  • written statement is included and is complete and understandable

Complexity – 10 Points

  • the design is challenging, demanding skill and effort

  • the design involves multiple techniques

Workmanship – 10 Points

  • the overall quality of the work demonstrates outstanding artistic skills

  • the workmanship is neat and clean

Detail – 5 Points

  • the detail of design is clean, clear and precise

  • the detail is more than adequate for the design

  • the detail clarifies the design, adding dimension

Theme – 10 Points

  • the theme is obvious and completely developed

  • the theme is continued on all 10 nails

  • the design enhances the theme
